Scene 1: The Forest Path
Characters: Little Red Riding Hood (LRRH), Grandma, Wolf
LRRH enters the stage, wearing a red cloak.
LRRH: Good morning, everyone! I am Little Red Riding Hood. Today, I’m bringing some delicious treats to my grandma. She loves cookies and cakes so much!
(Wolf enters, hiding behind a tree.)
Wolf: (in a sneaky voice) Hello there, little girl! Where are you off to in such a hurry?
LRRH: Oh, hello! I’m going to see my grandma. She lives just over that hill. Would you like to come along?
Wolf: (smiling) That sounds delightful! I think I’ll walk with you.
(They start walking together.)
Scene 2: Grandma’s House
Characters: Grandma, LRRH, Wolf
Grandma is sitting in her cozy chair when LRRH arrives.
LRRH: Grandma! Look at all the goodies I brought for you!
Grandma: (weakly) Oh, thank you, dear! You’re always so thoughtful.
(Wolf, disguised as Grandma, is lying in bed.)
Wolf: (in a deep voice) Come closer, my dear granddaughter. Let me give you a big hug!
(LRRH approaches the bed.)
LRRH: (confused) Grandma, why do you have such big ears?
Wolf: (grinning) They help me hear better!
(LRRH continues checking.)
LRRH: And what about your eyes? They’re so big!
Wolf: To see you more clearly, of course!
LRRH: (panicking) And your teeth? They’re so sharp!
Wolf: (lunging) To eat you up!
(Just as Wolf is about to pounce, a woodsman bursts into the room.)
Scene 3: Rescue by the Woodsman
Characters: Woodsman, LRRH, Wolf
Woodsman: (with an axe) Hey! What’s going on here?
LRRH: It’s the wolf! He tried to eat my grandma!
Woodsman: Don’t worry, I’ll take care of this.
(The woodsman chases the wolf out of the house.)
LRRH: Thank you so much for saving us, Mr. Woodsman!
Grandma: (sitting up) I feel much better now.
LRRH: (hugging Grandma) We should be more careful next time.
(They all exit the stage, laughing and waving goodbye.)
